NOBUGS 2008 Conference
New Opportunities for Better User Group Software
November 3-5, 2008 at ANSTO, Australia
Notes to Authors
Uploading of Papers
You are expected to write a paper (3-7 pages) about your
presentation. In order to maintain platform independence papers are
only accepted in PDF. Papers may be uploaded until
the start of the conference. In order to upload your paper to the
NOBUGS 2008 WWW-site follow these easy steps:
- Click on Submit Paper. This should display your abstract(s).
- Click on Browse. Enter the path to the file containing
your paper.
- Click Submit
It is possible to upload your talk to ANSTO ahead of time on the same login. Do not
worry, the WWW-page allows to upload both or either the paper or the talk.
Notes to Speakers
The program for NOBUGS 2008 will be tight. We have to ask all
speakers to adhere to the time limits as per the programme.
In order not to waste time with swapping notebooks etc. the following
provisions have been made:
- It is very much preferred that speakers upload their presentations
to ANSTO ahead of time in either MS Powerpoint or PDF format. For this,
use the same page as for uploading papers. The uploaded files will be
provided on the notebooks. Uploads till Friday, October 31 noon
local time will be honoured.
- If this does not work for you, please bring your presentation on a
USB stick to connect to the ANSTO notebook.
- If you insist on using your own notebook:
Please make sure that you connect your notebook ahead of time and test the display,
preferably during breaks.
If you need more assistance, please contact the local organising
commitee well in advance.
